Landlady Ellie and her merry team would like to welcome you to the Lamb, a 12th-century coaching inn that has all the quirks & qualities a country pub needs to be unforgettable.

Our little home of Hindon may be small but its surrounding areas are mighty. Just a swift 15-minute trip in the car and you’ll find yourself at the just-a-little-bit-world-famous heritage site Stonehenge. Flip the car around in the other direction and you’ll find yourself at Longleat Zoo, the first-ever drive-through safari park to open outside of Africa (enter the monkey’s enclosure at your own risk, they’d prefer your car without the wipers).

The Lamb is a favourite with the locals, offering everything from a pint of real ale to cocktails on our garden terrace, three-course dinners in the pub to delicious Sunday roasts prepared by our chefs using only the best local, seasonal produce.

We’re super excited to introduce our dry ager – it’s like a flavour-boosting machine that works wonders on our steaks. Each and every day, we have a tempting array of steak cuts that have been aged in-house for a minimum of 35 days.

Family Friendly Stays

With a host of family-friendly activities and plenty of scenic walks (just a bones throw away), why not bring the whole family including your four legged friends. Our child friendly stays offer an additional bed for £15 per night for those aged 2-14 where available, with a complimentary stay for those under two.

Our dog-friendly bedrooms are complete with their own doggy bed or blanket, bowl and tasty treats. Up to two pups can stay with you, where available, for an additional £20 each per night.
